About us
Worcester Buddhism and Meditation Group has been established for about ten years. We run a variety of classes where you can learn to meditate and help free your mind from clutter and distraction.
You can also learn about the teachings of Buddhism and take part in discussions, workshops, and retreats. The group is part of a worldwide Buddhist movement called the Triratna Buddhist Community. We aim to show how Buddhism is relevant to modern life and can make an important contribution towards a better world.
Venues
We run some of our events in public venues across the city. We also have some of our evenings in our “sangha house” in Barbourne. Please see individual event listings for more details, or contact us for more information.
The teachings of the Buddha are priceless. We want anyone to be able to access them, regardless of income. Therefore we don't charge for most of our events. But we do rely on your generosity to help us continue making Buddhism and meditation available to others. We sometimes suggest an amount to donate, but feel free to give more or less, depending on your circumstances.
